Wiltshire Police Assault

Postby Admin » Sun Sep 05, 2010 12:43 pm

When Sgt Mark Andrews threw Pamela Somerville to the floor, the force was so strong she cut her head open and needed hospital treatment.

This highlights the dangerous situation we are all in regarding the police and their brutal regime, this is more like South America than Great Britain.

This officer of the law should be sacked without question, but what about those other coppers who saw what he did and did nothing to stop him or report him, they are just as guilty. The only one with any guts was a fellow police officer - a woman, now she is about to find out just who is who in the Wiltshire police force, she is bound to be got at by her fellow officers.

We hear of these things in the USA but not here, in good old England? Andrews' family should be equally ashamed. Truly rotten to the core.

Taser ‘assault’ charge cop sent for trial

A COP who allegedly shot a suspect with a 50,000-volt Taser in a custody unit cell was sent for trial yesterday.

PC Lee Birch, 29, is accused of causing Daniel Dove actual bodily harm by turning the gun on him in Melksham, Wilts.
He is further charged with misuse of power in a public office over his handcuffing and strip-searching of Mr Dove.
Prosecutor Ann Ellery told magistrates in Swindon that the officer had twisted the handcuffs and that Mr Dove had been “put to the knees”.
The offences are said to have taken place two days before Christmas last year.
District Judge Simon Cooper said that having viewed video evidence from the cell he had “no alternative” but to send the officer to be tried at crown court.
He granted PC Birch — who is also being probed by watchdogs the Independent Police Complaints Commission — unconditional bail.
The cop spoke only to confirm his name and age and gave his address as care of Wiltshire Police’s divisional HQ at Melksham.
He will now appear before Swindon Crown Court on August 16.
The IPCC confirmed it was investigating after having the case referred to it by Wiltshire Police.
A spokesman said: “The case is being considered at the moment. We haven’t yet made a decision about what we are going to do.”
